The avant-garde meets at the Dansa Overseas Dansa festival

The Department of Culture of the City of Dénia, in collaboration with the Dénia Choreographic Center (CCD), has organized for the fifth consecutive year the Festival of contemporary dance Ultramar Dansa, the main objective of which is the promotion and dissemination of contemporary dance most current and avant-garde that is being done throughout the Spanish State.

To achieve this purpose, work has been done in three directions. On the one hand, with professional companies from Valencia and the Canary Islands. On the other hand, giving diffusion and opportunities to the new promises of dance, young professionals who begin their career and who need the institutional support to launch it. And finally, with the collaboration of groups that work dance from a point of view of generational and social integration.

Overseas Dansa is celebrated on 7, 8 and 9 on November at the auditorium theater of the Dénia Social Center, where a total of six shows, two newspapers, will be presented. Among them, the organization highlights the participation of the TransFerMove company, the Valencian dancer, actor and choreographer Toni Aparisi, winner of three Max awards, among other awards, who with Iris Pintos will star in the piece Relationships. He also recommends the show that Carmen Fumero canarian company will offer with the piece ... it was almost two, in which Fumero will dance with Miguel Ballabriga, finalist for the Max Awards of the performing arts 2018 in the category of best male dance performer.
