The UNED of Dénia celebrated the Solemn Act of Opening of the Academic Course 2018-19

This Thursday afternoon, the center associated with the UNED in Dénia dressed up to officially celebrate the beginning of the course and honor the students who have finished their studies at the center this year.

The event was attended by the Vice Chancellor of Students of the UNED, Ms. Mª Ángeles González Galán; the Mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt Boronat; and the director of the Associated Center of the UNED of Dénia, Raquel Martí. Also attended mayors and councilmen of the region, as well as students and relatives of the honorees.

The secretary of the center, Jaume Tortosa, made a summary of the memory of the previous course, highlighting a level of 98% satisfaction among students. Tortosa made a review of the events held during the year, which show that the UNED is a university "Feminist with a commitment to continuous improvement with her students".

Then proceeded to the delivery of diplomas to the graduates of this year. Two of them took the floor to thank the center for the support during the time they have spent their studies, and their gratitude for the treatment received by the faculty and the management team.

The next students to collect their diplomas were the students of the UNED Senior who have completed more than 300 hours of training. One of her students took the floor to signify what the Senior training courses assume in this stage of life.

In this act, homage was also paid to the tutors who have retired this course. In his name spoke the one who was also director of the UNED, Carlos Torres, excited by the recognition and memories of a lifetime linked to teaching.

Finally, the Mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, and the director of the center, Raquel Martí, took the floor to congratulate the graduates after years of work. Vicent Grimalt also highlighted the role of UNED as a body close to society.
