25 2018 April - 07: 21

This Tuesday began, in La Sala del Dénia Castle, the seminar on Economic Models in Evolution organized by the Associated Center UNED of the capital of the region.

The seminar, which takes place over two days in La Sala del Castillo, aims to confirm the UNED as the meeting point that favors the economic progress of the region. Not in vain, the associated center of Dénia has recently become the engine of local and regional research, with the development of different social and demographic diagnoses of great utility for municipalities.

The first day of the seminar included the participation of the Autonomous Secretariat of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors and Trade, Blanca Marín, who presented the current state of the Valencian Community's economic model and the way forward to achieve the change that the Acord del Botànic was proposed.

The Action Plan for the Transformation of the Valencian Economic Model will include specific initiatives to attract national and international funds and to attract Valencian talent, which will contribute to the development of innovative projects in the Valencian Community. And this is because the transformation of the model will only be possible if it manages to connect talent, science and technology to modernize the productive fabric of Valencia.

The ultimate goal of this plan is to achieve the implementation of a long-term sustainable economic model.

In this sense, and after the presentation of the Action Plan Dénia&Marina Alta #Tasting Life, the Autonomous Secretary stated that this document is aligned with the Plan designed by the Consell to achieve this change in the economic model.

The day ended with a round table on the role of the company and the administration in the change of model, which counted with the participation of Blanca Marín, Vicente Martín, Sonja Dietz, Eva Round, José Pastor Bolufer and Jovi Lozano.

The seminar organized by the UNED ends on Wednesday, 25 in April, addressing The role of education in the changes of economic model. On this occasion will be the participation of the Regional Secretary of Education, Miquel Soler, who will speak about the Challenges of education in the face of new economic models. Next, Javier Andrés Gil Gracia, professor of the Department of Political Sciences and of the Administration of the UNED in Dénia, will speak about the Elements of Collaborative Economy; and the day will end with the intervention of the Mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, which will present the conclusions of the seminar.
