The Delegation of National Police of Dénia will develop throughout the current course, in the three institutes of the town, an activity against sports betting framed in the Master Plan for Coexistence and Improvement of Safety in Educational Centers and their Environments
This initiative aims to strengthen preventive actions in the field of betting, whether online or in establishments, and to protect those most vulnerable, in this case the minors, from the harmful effects that may arise from this activity.
Although minors are prohibited from gambling, there is a growing presence of young people in “Gambling houses” and in the online gaming platforms, a fact that generates social alarm and that has achieved that, jointly by the General Directorate of the Police through the Central Unit of Citizen Participation, LaLiga and the DGOJ, the initiative is developed “With sport you don't play: minors and sports betting”.
It is intended to raise awareness among the minor population of the risks associated with the practice of sports betting, especially online.
