Christmas arrives at the Department of Health of Dénia

The Dénia Health Department and its professionals have dressed in Christmas these days. In the Hospital, a large tree presides over the main hall. The garlands and lights also hang in the nursing controls of the hospitalization and consultation floors, some Christmas motifs that can also be seen in the Health Centers and Offices of the Marina Alta.

This week the hospitalized patients have received the visit of the Salvation Army of Dénia, in which a group of volunteers have sung Christmas carols. The youngest: pediatric patients and children of employees have celebrated their annual appointment with the Great Magician Eddy in the Hospital Assembly Hall.

Also from this week you can visit the exhibition of works performed by patients in Pediatrics, Oncology, Hemodialysis and Psychiatry. The sample is displayed in the care room of the Hospital de Dénia, located in the central corridor of the ground floor.

The menus for the holidays are ready at the Hospital. Christmas Eve will arrive at the tray of the rooms of the Dénia Hospital with a cream of seafood with prawns, followed by a pork tenderloin with gorgonzola sauce and 3 chocolates cake, for dessert. And for Christmas day there is reserved a stew soup, turkey ham and profiteroles with cream to finish.

Patients and professionals will say goodbye to the year with a salad of goat cheese with prawns and tomato confit, as a starter. It will follow a knuckle in its juice, as a main dish and tiramisu, for dessert. For the first day of 2018 there are prepared piquillo peppers stuffed with cod, beef tenderloin with mushroom sauce and San Marcos pie.

Christmas will come to an end with the visit of the Wise Men to hospital. A delegation composed of their Majesties from the East, members of the Regidoria de Festes del Ajuntament de Dénia, will bring gifts to hospitalized children and adults on the morning of January 6.
