The Ministry of Health has once again updated the coronavirus figures for each municipality of the Valencian Community. It does so for the first time in the last week, since the incidence has not been published in each health department since last Tuesday, presumably because these notifications are given on Tuesdays and Fridays, the latter coinciding with the holiday of Christmas. That is why today's figures correspond to the results of the PCR tests carried out since last Tuesday 22.
A week of tests that are added now for the first time, although surely not the majority. The Teulada City Council yesterday reported that in its meeting with Public Health they were informed that from the 24th to this Monday the positives had not been counted since there is a large increase in the tests carried out during that period and, apparently, they are not enough .
Having said this, taking into account that it is probable that not all the real cases are added, Sanitat has registered these days in the Marina Alta 479 new infections. An exorbitant figure that, considering that 800 positives have been added in the last two weeks, leaves the region with a cumulative incidence of 465 infections per 82 inhabitants, very similar to that registered in the worst weeks of August. In total, since March 100.000 people have already tested positive in the Dénia health department.
The worst news comes again from the data on the deceased, as 5 more PCR positives have been added to the list in which 43 deceased are already present. Of these, 2 belong to Dénia and the other 3 to El Verger.
Dénia is again the municipality that adds the most infections to the list, with 131 new cases (1.227 since March). The 191 positives in the last two weeks have caused the incidence to stand at 452'97.
In the rest of the region, the figures are not much more encouraging. Xàbia adds 89 positives, Calp 57, Teulada 47, Pego 39, Benissa and Ondara 28 each, El Verger 18, Pedreguer and Gata 10 each, Benitatxell, l'Atzúbia and Sagra 3 each, Beniarbeig 2, and Xaló, Llíber, Murla, Benidoleig and the Vall de Laguart 1 each.
