At the proposal of the Federation of Teaching of Workers' Commissions of the Valencià Country, the jury of the 24th edition of the "Ciutat de Dénia" Award for the Training of Adults has decided to distinguish this year with this award M. Francisca Borox López, teacher who has developed his professional career in the field of adult education and training.
The minutes of the jury stand out from the award-winning "the vindication and promotion of a critical, active, popular, hard-working and civic Valencian permanent formation".
M. Francisca Borox was for many years president of TAREPA, an association for pedagogical renewal in the field of permanent education, an area where she has worked as a trainer of trainers. And she was one of the promoters of the initiative "Creuant fronteres, escola d'estiu de formació de persons adultes".
This candidacy has prevailed over a second one, presented at the proposal of the CFPA "Joan Lluís Vives" Adult Training Center of Ibi for the teacher of this center, M. Carmen Pastor.
The jury for the 24th edition of the award was made up of: Josep Aparicio, representing the Board of Social Agents for the Training of Adults; Pilar Bienvenida García, president of the CFPA d'Almussafes Alumni Association; Vicent Mas, director of the FPA center in Dénia; and the councilors of the Dénia City Council Sandra Gertrúdix and Raúl García de la Reina.
The award will be awarded to the winner in a ceremony to be held at the Dénia Library on June 4, at 12 noon.
