With the aim of materializing the discourse of promotion and consolidation of the regional territory, the Mancomunitat Cultural de la Marina Alta organized a meeting last week with workers from the tourist offices of the municipalities of the region.
This meeting focused on presenting to the technical representatives the cultural and patrimonial map of the region: an initiative of the Cultural Commonwealth that came forward a year ago in the celebration of its 20 Anniversary. The purpose of this map is not only to provide the town halls and the tourism offices with a back-up document, but also to connect with the teaching world and the consequent didactic potential of the work.
Núria Gómez Bolufer, a Mancomunidad technician and coordinator of the project, explained what has been during all these months the process of making a map that has been characterized by integrating the illustrated aesthetic element with the physical geographic information: a high graphical confluence pedagogical value that aims to consolidate a decodable material for all types of audiences.
According to the technique, it is a common resource, a shared tool, which has been governed by symbolic power and synthesis, so that the regional territory will offer a cross-sectional and heterogeneous view of the concept of heritage through architectural icons, agricultural, gastronomic or natural environment.
The map is currently in its final stage of execution, so in a few weeks this necessary and agreed-upon tool for the joint construction and promotion of the Marina Alta will be completed.
