Foundation Baleària has been awarded with the prize "To the social responsibility in the tourism" that grants the Agència Valenciana del Turisme within the Premis Turisme Comunitat Valenciana corresponding to the year 2016.
On this occasion, the jury has evaluated the Fundació Baleària by "Contribute directly and clearly to the development of activities or initiatives aimed at developing the Global Code of Ethics for Tourism". This was announced by the autonomic secretary of the Valencian Tourism Agency, Francesc Colomer, in an edition of the awards oriented towards "a new approach that coincides with the declaration by the UNWTO to 2017 as the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development".
The 'Premis Turisme Comunitat Valenciana' are awards that aim to recognize people, entities and institutions that during the year 2016 have stood out for their work in favor of tourism in our destination. It should be noted that these awards are exclusively honorary, so they will not entail any economic benefit. The awards ceremony will take place within the framework of the events organized by the Generalitat Valenciana on the occasion of World Tourism Day, next Wednesday, September 27.
In all, these awards will recognize the work of eight companies and associations. The winner in the category "To the tourist trajectory" is INTURCOSA (Coastal Tourist Facilities); in the form "To training and research in tourism" the award winner is GASMA-Proyectos Docentes y Management, SL; in the category "To the innovation applied to the tourism", the jury has resolved in favor of PEMERIBI, SL (Hotel of the Toy); the winner in the modality "To the promotion and tourist communication" is VISITELCHE, Autonomous Local Organism; in the category "To sustainable tourism", two ex aequo companies have been awarded: NOBLEZA DE LA TIERRA, SL and GRUPO HOTELES RH (Resthotel SL); and the award-winning "Inclusive Tourism" is the CAMPING TORRE LA SAL, 2
