Marine Station opens the passenger gangway

La Maritime station Denia already has a gateway for boarding and disembarkation of passengers was inaugurated yesterday by the Regional Minister for Infrastructure, Isabel Bonig; the mayor of Denia, Ana Kringe, and the president of Baleària, Adolfo Utor.

New walkway from the Maritime Station

Before touring the new gateway, after receiving the Consellera with several councilors of all local groups, Utor made a brief explanation of company projects and the construction of the Maritime Station, where so far the shipping company has invested 11,5 million euros.

The opening of the bridge is part of the second phase of construction of a project which, when completed, will cost the shipping more than 22 million euros in exchange for conseción and operation of port 25 years.

Besides the building where the ferry terminal is located and urbanization of the surroundings, the company has planned to build a new ship in the Moll de la Pansa, an outside elevator that communicates with the upper terrace of the station and the Plaça de la Llum, a covered area in which markets and other events will take place.

The field granting this infrastructure is formed by a surface of 54.845 square meters, which correspond to 2.300 building itself from the port, and the rest three docks, Campa, parking and adjoining surfaces.

The Consellera Bonig, meanwhile, has put the Maritime Station as an example of public-private partnership to launch projects that benefit the population as important as tourism and commercial sector collaboration.
