The Auditorium Theater will become the setting for a theatrical experience on January 27 at 20 p.m. with the presentation of LAZARUS by the Leamok company. This innovative show, which fuses hip-hop and theater, offers a free and contemporary adaptation of the Spanish classic The Lazarillo de Tormes.
Roberto Hoyo, responsible for dramaturgy, direction and interpretation, leads this unique proposal. Marco Ferreira, in charge of musical production and musician on stage, accompanies the narration of this timeless story with his talent.
The plot of LAZARUS moves to the rhythm of hip-hop, exploring the universal history of Lazarillo de tormes in a renewed way. In this montage, Lázaro shares his life and experiences, highlighting how he changes masters in the context of the 21st century. The adaptation seeks to connect with young and adult audiences by offering a contemporary and fresh vision of the classic narrative.
The show has been recognized with various awards, including the AVETID 2022 Award, the AAEE Valencianas Award for Best Actor, Best Performer at the TAC Valladolid 2021, Mention for Best Playwriting at the ACT Festival 2020 and the SGAE Award at the IX Russafa Scenic Festival 2019.
