The Library of Dénia and the MACMA unite in search of the literary writers of the region

November 30 from 2017 - 15: 00

The Public Library of Dénia and the MACMA have launched an appeal to all the literary writers of the Marina Alta with one objective: to bring them together on the same platform that serves as a guide document to establish a better information network between the world of literature and readers in the area.

This literary census was born as a proposal of the library of Dénia that the MACMA accepted from the first moment. The regional entity has celebrated its 20 anniversary and, for this reason, it has renewed both its image and its website. Now, this census will serve to "vertebrate the literary map of our territory", explained his manager, Jovi Lozano-Seser.

Writers and writers born in the Marina Alta or with links to the region who have published a work of literary creation by a publisher, both in Valencian and Castilian, can be part of this census. This also includes, as it has explained the person in charge of the Public Library of Dénia, Llúcia Signes, the translations and the studies that the authors have made.

Those interested should fill in a file, attaching their photograph, with information about biographical information, a brief personal summary and their literary career, literary prizes obtained, published work, links with reviews about the author and the work, interviews and anthology. The cards will be sent by email to the Public Library of Dénia (biblioteca@ayto-denia.es) or MACMA (comunicacio@macma.org).

In the presentation of this literary census were present the Mayor of Dénia and president of the MACMA, Vicent GrimaltAnd the councilman of Culture of Denia, Rafa Carrió, which encouraged writers to be part of this census "It is very important to develop different proposals, such as those arising from the Sectoral Labor Commission of the Municipal Council of Culture".
