The president of Help of Dénia and Marina Alta, Judith Goodall, delivered yesterday to the Councilor for Social Welfare, Pepa Sivera, food vouchers worth 2.000 euros.
The total amount of the donation is split into vouchers 50 euros, the Social Welfare Department will personally deliver to forty users (individuals or households, as appropriate) of its database that are in more vulnerable.
Vouchers are redeemable in supermarkets Masymas La Xara and Masymas Avenue Denia Gandia.
Pepa Sivera thanked the initiative Help of Denia and Marina Alta"Very involved in social and solidarity actions in Dénia and the region".
In turn, the president of the association of volunteers, Judith Goodall, stressed that the amount of the donation has been raised within the entity and not from any external aid received Help of Denia and Marina Alta. Also, Goodall recalled that the purpose of the association, composed mostly of English-speaking residents, is to help the whole society and not just the British from the area.
