The Association of Ports and Sports of the Valencian Community participates, for the second consecutive year, in Boot Düsseldorf, the largest European event dedicated to sports and recreational boating, held in Düsseldorf until January's 27. The Association is part of the stand of Puertos del Estado, which also houses the ports of A Coruña, Baleares, Las Palmas and Melilla, as well as the Cartagena Yacht Port and the Association Andalusia Cruises.
The 14 ports of the Ports and Sports Ports Grouping of the Valencian Region offer 5.482 berths and 246.914 square meters. "This year our stand is positioned in a strategically located area and this shows in the increase in visitors we are serving. The economic factor is still very important, since most of the customers request the rates of our ports", says Gabriel Martínez, president of the Association.
Gabriel Martínez has held several meetings with the corporate director of Puertos del Estado, Magec Montesdeoca, with the general director of the Port of Melilla, Emilio Guillén, with Esther Valero, of the Valencian Tourism Agency and with Montse Cañamero, of Turespaña. "The objective is that we can attend other international competitions and expand in the near future the international promotion of our ports", says Gabriel Martínez. The next challenges are the presence in the contests of La Rochelle and Cannes.
