The Ministry of the Environment has confirmed the name of the new director of the Natural Park Montgó and the Marjal Pego-Oliva. This is Joseba Andoni Rodríguez Aizpeolea, an environmental agent residing in Pedreguer who has been working for several years in the Marina Alta.
Rodríguez's appointment, which became effective this week, comes after 20 months since the change in the government of the Generalitat Valenciana took place. The first step taken by the Consell de Ximo Puig was to appoint Joan Sala as president of the Governing Board of the Montgó Natural Park.
Now, with the inauguration of Rodriguez, the Ministry resumes for this position the figure of a technician, fleeing from previous appointments, skimming over the political.
