The Department of Youth has called the 22nd edition of the Dénia Intergenerational Song Festival, which will be held in the month of July.
The rules of the contest, an extract of which is published today in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante, establish that amateur, non-professional and amateur singers who have some type of connection with the competition can participate. Marina Alta. Three categories of participants are established: children (from 6 to 12 years), youth (from 13 to 17 years) and senior (from 18). The registration period opens tomorrow, Wednesday, February 21, and will close on April 5, 2024.
The application to participate is on the City Council website and can be submitted in person at the Citizen Services Office (pl. Constitució, 10), electronically or by postal mail addressed to the Dénia City Council.
A casting will be held among the applicants, which will result in 6 participants for each age category.
On the night of the contest, a jury made up of the Youth Councilor, Valentine Alcalà, and two people related to the world of music and song will select the winner of each category, taking into account aspects such as technique, interpretation, artistic quality, voice and originality of the proposal.
The winner of each category will receive a diploma and a financial prize of 150 euros in the case of the children's category; 300 euros in youth and 400 euros for the senior category prize.
The XXII Intergenerational Song Festival of Dénia will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024, at 22 p.m., on Calle de la Via.
