The Civil Guard has arrested a man in El Campello as the alleged perpetrator of 22 crimes of robbery with force inside the home, with and without residents, committed since last June in El Campello (18), in Dénia (3) and in Muchamiel (1).
Since last June, the Civil Guard has been developing an operation to put an end to a series of robberies that were being committed in homes in El Campello. In addition to the pertinent investigation procedures, with the detailed analysis of the way in which the crime was perpetrated and of the time slots in which it used to occur, there was added the considerable reinforcement of the service patrols that, in coordination with the Local Police, they managed to find the perpetrators.
It was 21:35 p.m. on August 18, when the notice was received that two individuals had entered a house in Pueblo Acantilado. Up to that point, numerous agents appeared, in uniformed service and in civilian clothes, in vehicles and on foot, to practically "close" La Nuza.
Upon arrival, the two men had fled around the back and were jumping from chalet to chalet. Throughout their journey, the same neighbors began to shout pointing to the agents the way to go.
Thus, it was possible to arrest the first of them, who was transferred to official offices as the alleged perpetrator of this latest crime of robbery, and for another twenty-one robberies with force inside the home, with and without residents, committed since the end of June of the current: three in the town of Dénia, one in Muchamiel and eighteen in El Campello. After going to court, his entry into prison was decreed.
As for the second man, who managed to access an area of tall reeds and thick undergrowth, it was already night and wearing dark clothing, he could not be intercepted, although his arrest in a short space of time is not ruled out.
They also recovered, in the garden of one of the chalets through which they fled, the effects stolen in a bag, hidden behind a work shed, and the tool with which they forced the door of the house, a blunt large screwdriver.
