The Socialists of Dénia this week, the Obertes Portes Program has been held through which citizen contributions are collected to be included in its electoral program.
The last session was devoted to education and culture, concluding that one of the major commitments will be to strengthen the already existing Municipal School Council "so that it has a truly relevant role in school life, and in which the opinion of the educational centers of Dénia is taken into account when it comes to the most relevant topics (scholarships, municipal support in Social Welfare, etc.)".
During the session the decalogue of actions in these matters was approved, among which are the creation of the Consells de Cultura y Infancia; the generation of the project EDUCATING cITY, "in order to give education the transversal character it deserves", or the preparation of a Master Plan for Dénia Castle, together with the Ministry of Culture, to be able to foresee both conservation actions and the dissemination of heritage.
Socialists are also committed to strengthening the city center by creating a cluster cultural, conditioning as cultural continents the House of the Marquesa Valero de Palma and the house of San José Street and the UNED as a benchmark of higher education in the region.
In point number 8 of its decalogue is to alleviate the economic difficulties of the family environment suffered by the students through direct contact between Social Services and the addresses of the centers, to address these problems as much as possible.
With regard to Archeology and Heritage, we should encourage the opening of museums and heritage to the general public, promoting routes to get to know it properly and raise awareness for its conservation and value.
Finally, the socialist decalogue wants importance to the Institut d'Estudis Comarcals de la Marina Alta, to create cultural policies at the regional level.
