The City Council, in collaboration with the Archeology and Museums area, is working on creating the basic lines of a comprehensive restoration project for the entire Governor's Palace building, located in the highest part of the Castle.
Currently it is worked on previous documentation and systematization of data as well as photogrammetric and laser 3D work in order to know the current state of the structures targeted by the intervention.
In a first phase the southern facade of the Palace will be restored and the monumental staircase along the esplanade, an intervention that will improve the prospect of the monument and the scenery will be rebuilt, creating a new container space of cultural offerings and mandatory stop to visit the Castle .
