Tenor Cortis turns 125 ... Happy birthday, Little Caruso

They called him the Small Caruso or Caruso Spanish for having received lessons from the great tenor Enrico Caruso and its similar style singing. Today, August 12 2016, 125 met anniversary of the birth of Antonio Heap Corts. On this day, in 1891, aboard a boat in the Mediterranean Sea, he was born that years later would become one of the great voices of opera in our country, the Tenor Cortis.

Milan, Chicago, Havana, Monte Carlo or San Francisco were some of the cities in which the tenor triumphed throughout his career. But in the memory of dianenses of the time is the memory of that tenor who, when he came to visit his mother in his house in Campus, Villa Carmen, His voice resounded from the foot of the Montgó to the port of Denia.

Dénia dedicates the year 2016 and part of 2017 to the memory of Antonio Cortis, and today is celebrated the epicenter of the commemorations. At 19 hours an emotional tribute will take place in the City of Denia to which her daughter, Dolores Montón Arnau, and other relatives will attend.
