Appealing to the solidarity of TRAM users and residents of the town, next January 4 will be held at the Dénia train station a solidarity collection of food and hygiene products in order to collaborate with the cause of the Welcome Center San Francisco de Asis in Palma de Gandía.
This solidary campaign, which last week toured different stations of the TRX L1 and L9 lines, is driven by the FGV Rail Union of Alicante and the 0 Line (of FGV corporate solidarity).
From the 10: 30 and up to the 15 hours, those who wish to collaborate can contribute their donation to the table that will be installed in the train station, where they will be informed more thoroughly about the work carried out by the reception center.
Currently the center especially needs milk, oil and hygiene products to meet the 50 people who reside there and who temporarily make use of the facilities. Thanks to these donations and the work of the center's managers, the social integration of these people is getting closer.
From the railroad union they say that their collaboration with this cause is due to the fact that "Among our passengers are people who live different realities and situations of personal disintegration, uprooting, destructuring and lack of means, some of these were welcomed and cared for at different times by those who make the Reception Center work, a place that lacks resources and aid, which is maintained with the contributions of friends and collaborators ".
