The sector works so that nautical tourism can be activated next season

January 28 from 2021 - 12: 04

In the first meeting of this year, held by the Spanish Federation of Sports and Tourist Port Associations (Feapdt), it was found that the exercise looks very difficult. "It is true that our sector has gone through other crises and we are also trained by the pressure of 2020," says Gabriel Martínez, president of Feapdt.

Spanish marinas are planning future actions to make up for time as the current crisis situation improves. In 2020, the activity of the sector has fallen between 35% and 40%. “It is necessary to work in the next tourist season, in order to alleviate the losses. Although it is true that everything will depend on the circumstances caused by the pandemic, ”says Martínez.

The nautical sector already demonstrated its survival capacity in the 2020 season. And those responsible for the ports are convinced that this sector will be strengthened since the issue of security is fully guaranteed in nautical tourism. "Last summer we were able to verify that many people approached sailing for the first time and we must value this as something very positive." One of the proposals being worked on is to incorporate technological improvements, which are very easy to apply.

Tourism, tourism and tourism .. Didn't we just understand it? All countries are closing their borders and limiting the mobility of their citizens. If they don't come to the beaches, they don't come to the restaurants and they don't come to any sporting activity either. Heavy. Unless it is done like last August that with the excuse that we have defeated the virus, mobility was allowed and now we are eating the results.
