The PSPV looks for an "unstoppable" Dénia with sports proposals for the 28M made "with our feet on the ground"

18 2023 April - 09: 54

On Monday, representatives of the PSPV of Dénia, led by the Councilor for Sports, Raúl García de la Reina, Mayor, Vicent Grimalt and the socialist candidates Juan Pablo Uribe, Miguel Ángel Martínez y Marta Gasco, they made a presentation of the sports activities carried out in the city in recent years and the projects they have planned for the future.

Among the notable actions of the current legislature, mention was made of the cleaning and maintenance work carried out at the Diego Mena stadium, the repair of the sports center pavilion after the DANA that affected the city, the adaptation of the athletics track and the redevelopment of each track in Madrigueres with new asphalt. In addition, the creation of new facilities for minority disciplines such as skateboarding, the consolidation of the Volta a Peu and the support for the Xarxa Esportiva of the MACMA, which, in collaboration with other political parties, has led to the Minijocs being held by first time outside Dénia finally making use of its regional character. «Making a region is not that we cover everything, but supporting the rest of the towns».

The Councilor for Sports also mentioned the start-up of the paddle school next to the Tennis Club, which has been very successful.

A Dénia with more space for sports and friendlier with outdoor practice

Regarding future projects, the construction of a new pavilion for the sports center was announced, as well as the creation of a new petanque area in Madrigueres. Support for sports schools and the intention to continue promoting sports practice in the city were also emphasized.

In addition, already entering fully into the content of the program, the PSPV has announced its intention to promote the practice of outdoor sports by placing baskets and goals in green areas within the city. They have also proposed the installation of lighting in the greenway so that athletes can exercise at any time of the day. "A city that plays and competes is an unstoppable city," said the socialist Juan Pablo Uribe.

However, the most outstanding proposal of the PSPV is the creation of the figure of the sports manager, a person in charge of seeking subsidies and financing to carry out new sports projects and help schools and athletes in the city to access different programs. The party has affirmed that this figure will be key to the development of sport in the city and to the promotion of a healthy life among its inhabitants.

The socialist team seeks to show its commitment to sport and physical activity as tools to improve the quality of life of citizens and has ensured that they will continue working in this line in the future.

"We do not sell smoke because in the end you believe that thought that anything goes in the campaign"

Regarding the work of the Department of Sports of this legislature, Vicent Grimalt wanted to recall that the management has faced setbacks that were unpredictable, highlighting the DANA that left various facilities unusable for months, the temporary glory that culminated this hard blow and the pandemic, which paralyzed all sports activity.

In reference to his proposals, which may sound a priori much more humble than some championed by the opposition, the candidate to repeat in the Mayor's Office affirms that his program "is made with his feet on the ground", assuring that they are not empty promises for win the elections knowing that they cannot be carried out, since they are "projects studied and that can be carried out". "We do not sell smoke because in the end you create that distrust and that thought that anything goes in the campaign."

The PSPV seeks, in this way, to retain the council after the next elections, which will be held on May 28, in order to ensure that it can carry out all the projects to promote sport in the city.

It is wasting time analyzing political promises, at any time, not just when elections are approaching.
And I wonder if there are not more urgent and important things to attend to in Denia.
The sea, every year passes its same bill, as well as fires, floods, abandoned lots
Because vestiges of ruins appear, which are not such, they are almost always rubble from those times. Judging by the treatment they receive from the authority with total helplessness for years, becoming authentic
    garbage cans
In short, I love sport, but more what is urgent. Walking on well-lit streets, free of fences
Semi-fallen, without excrement or vomit on the sidewalks. etc etc.
Do not forget to fulfill your good intentions, but leave them for when you can fulfill them. Priorities are priorities. Good morning.

Do we agree that every year there are elections, even if it is heavy?
So every 365 days they will make us promises of everything they stopped doing and today they do

  3. Marina Pascual says:

It would be time to have another decent pavilion, where futsal players have to train and play fora because here the pavilions are completely collapsed. Teams that carry the name of Dénia to the name and that they have to play Beniarbeig ...
