The PP accuses the Dénia government of "making citizens pay" for "poor management"

11 October 2023 - 20: 16

El Party of Dénia has issued a statement in which it criticizes the local government's decision to approve a 10% increase in the Real Estate Tax (IBI) and the water rate. According to the PP Dénia, this tax increase will negatively affect families residing in the city.

The statement indicates that this measure has been taken to mask alleged economic mismanagement by the municipal government. It is alleged that the economic gap is attributed to factors such as poor urban transport, increased costs due to the rise in the price of electricity and the increase in workers' salaries. However, the Popular Party maintains that the economic impact of the increase in released councilors and advisors on municipal coffers is not mentioned.

Pepa Font, the spokesperson for the Municipal Popular group in the City Council, took the opportunity to point out the policies of the Popular Party at the head of the Generalitat, such as the elimination of the Inheritance and Donation Tax, and that in Dénia, on the contrary, the IBI is increasing and the water rate for all citizens, without taking into account their income or personal situation. Furthermore, she insists that the number of released councilors and advisors in the Dénia City Council has reached record levels.

José Antonio Cristóbal, economic affairs councilor for the Popular Party, argues that the mismanagement of public resources is characteristic of governments considered progressive. He affirms that good management is based on avoiding passing on more taxes than are strictly necessary, analyzing the council's expenses and eliminating those that do not benefit citizens.

The statement concludes by highlighting that the local government has not presented an incentive plan to increase revenue through the economic development of the city, opting instead to increase taxes without considering the increase in the cost of living of citizens.

The Popular Party of Dénia concludes that the management model of the PSPV y Compromís In the Dénia City Council it consists of "making citizens pay without taking into account the impact on their lives."

I believe that progress (a word that sounds so good) does lead to improving your quality of life. Improve the education of our little ones, improve the security of all, improve infrastructure, improve the access of families and individuals to the modernities and technologies that progress offers us, improve equal opportunities among citizens, improve aid to those most in need and, above all, improve the purchasing power of families so that they can spend the money on whatever they want. Families and citizens in general.
That's why I don't understand anything when left-wing parties call themselves progressive. Do they mean troublemakers?
Although I would like to see if when the PP governs they are going to improve management and they are going to lower our IBI taxes again, which already went up a few years ago, and the garbage that they have raised by 20% and is worse than before.
We'll see because so far they've just been a little mouthy.

Somehow they have to squeeze you to pay for all the stupid things they do and the salaries they have, like La D*ANA, disgusting politicians who only know how to raise taxes and take photos. What scoundrels they are, what we already pay in taxes, in water, in electricity will seem little to them.

The management of the Dénia City Council consists of "making citizens pay for their deficiencies without taking into account the impact on their lives."
And they are so wide, that is progress and a left-wing model that they boast about so much.
    Shameful
