The painter Costa Tur will be declared Adoptive Son of Dénia

January 31 from 2011 - 00: 00

He is one of the few living landscape painters of the Levantine Impressionist school, which has taken the image of Dénia around the world. Castle, the Montgo -which you consider "the elixir of life"- and the beaches Dianenses have been portrayed by Costa Tur on many occasions, and for that reason he will be named Adoptive Son of Dénia.

Dianenses son of parents, Jaime Costa Tur was born in Gandia in 1926, and his childhood was developed between Baix la Mar and Florida. Throughout his career he has exhibited in places as diverse as Denia, Valencia, Madrid, New York or Florida.

The press says it understood that "... Not only does he capture his master hand of the landscapes, but also his characters. Costa Tur is an easy and harmonious colorist and a great connoisseur of drawing, whose master lines he dilutes in the swell of his well-combined chromaticism." (Charlie Sentí) or "... Colorist painter, full of faculties, spontaneous drawing and in love, as a good Levantine, of the magic of light, divides his interest between the figure and the landscape, interpreting personally." (Mario Antolín, Journal YA, 1984)

Therefore the City has begun procedures for the declaration of Adoptive Son of the city.
