2012 budgets already include a game that the municipality will allocate to the empowerment of one of the buildings of the Plaza del Consell as tourist information. Specifically, and as reported by the Socialist councilor Jordi Serra, 60.000 euros to be borne solely by the council, since when being a point of information and not a tourist office will go all spending adaptation and equipment of that point will be borne by the municipal coffers and not those of Valencian Agency of Tourism.
Serra recalls that must be added to that investment the monthly 3.500 euros (42.000 euros per year) that the city pays rent of premises where the tourist office on the street Manuel Lattur is located.

Motion to develop a Strategic Plan of the Tourism Sector
Óscar Mengual, Socialist councilor who participates in the Tourism Council, has informed that his group will present a motion in the next plenary so that the Department of Tourism will proceed to the drafting of a Strategic Plan for the Multiannual Tourism Sector of Dénia that has the participation of all the social and economic agents involved, as well as the participation of citizens at the individual level, by opening a suggestion box.
