This Wednesday 11 of May, the IES María Ibars will celebrate its I Gastronomic Day, which will serve its students to put into practice the knowledge acquired so far. This First Gastronomic Seminar will count on the collaboration of different Regulatory Councils of Denominations of Origin, whose products will be the protagonists of the meeting.
Specifically we talk about the loquat (PDO Regulatory Council of the loquat of Callosa d'En Sarrià), the cherry (IGP Regulating Council Cherries of the mountains of Alicante), and the tomato (Cooperativa Valenciana Unió Protectora d'El Perelló). From these products, the students of 1st of Cuisine and Gastronomy will elaborate a menu that will be served by the students of 1st of Restoration Services. There will also be a protocol act organized by the students of 1st GUIAT (Guide Information and Tourist Assistance) in the CDT facilities.
This day is framed in the acts that the institute organizes to collaborate with the project Creative City of Gastronomy of UNESCO. By participating in it, the organizers will deliver a diploma to the representatives of the Regulatory Councils and the sponsors.
