The Minister of Transport and Urban Mobility, Óscar Puente, has admitted to Compromís the "enormous complexity" that, in his opinion, the route of the Coastal Train, which would link Gandia, Oliva and Dénia, represents from an environmental point of view and he has proposed the TRAM train as an alternative; according to information from Europa Press.
During the Government control session in the Senate, Compromís senator Enric Morera argued that the Tren de la Costa is one of the infrastructures with a broad "social and political" consensus, denouncing the 50 years of disappearance of the railway line that united these municipalities.
At this point, the Compromís senator has reproached Puente for going to Valencia and meeting "with Ayuso's friends", considering "concluded" the relationship of the central government with the Valencian party, which has been in coalition in the elections with Sumar, coalition partner of the PSOE.
Given this, Minister Puente has defended that he is meeting "with Ayuso's friends" because they are the ones who govern the Valencian institutions, while at the same time he has defended the "enormous complexity" of the Tren de la Costa route.
