Healthcare organization, innovation in public procurement, advances in patient safety or teaching management are the topics that will be addressed during this week in the Hospital de Dénia, within the framework of the X Course of Pharmacotherapeutic Management that is held until next Friday at the center.
This course is organized by the Departments of Health Dr. Moliner and Dénia, and will expand its content to strategic planning, high-impact medicines, medication errors, Big Data or the impact of social networks.
Dr. Jaime Poquet, co-director of the course and Head of the Pharmacy Service of the Department of Health of Dénia, affirms that "In the course, which has already established itself as a national reference in hospital pharmacy, not only management issues will be addressed, but also others on how technology improves patient safety. In this sense, the Research Director of the Spanish Society of Hospital Pharmacy, José Manuel Martínez Sesmero, will talk about the health improvements that data exploitation already provides through Big Data ".
Another of the topics that will be discussed, according to Dr. Poquet, are the advances in patient safety that provide the reduction of errors in the dispensation of medication. In this sense, the Head of Pharmacy of the DSD has ensured that "Our Electronic Medical History, HCE, has recently received the 6 level of the EMRAM scale for having a comprehensive implementation of the closed cycle process of medicines, blood and breast milk, in addition to a high development in cybersecurity".
