Local government is committed to CEDMA to study the feasibility of the bus station next to the ferry terminal

The new board of directors of CEDMA got the commitment of the local government team to study the feasibility of installing the bus station in the vicinity of the Maritime station, place that the businessmen defend to finally locate the necessary infrastructure.

So it moved the mayor, Vicent Grimalt, in a meeting they held in the mayor's office with the councilors Rafa Carrió y Javier Scotto in order to meet the four vice presidents of the new board of directors and to address issues of concern to the Federation and the general public.

Regarding the location of the bus station, Rafa Carrió indicated that the government will commission a mobility study to find out which would be the best location. CEDMA, for its part, requested that the study also include an analysis of the type of travelers, their origin and the journeys they make, to adapt the services and location of the station to the real needs.

Another of the topics discussed was the traffic light of the intersection of Diana Street with Joan Fuster that is parallel to the train track. The mayor has already asked FGVA to reduce the speed of the trenet on the section that goes from the Alqueries stop to the Dénia station. In this way the trenet would become a tram, which would enable a roundabout to be built at the junction, with the track through the center.

The PGOU "will not start from scratch"

During the meeting, the businessmen were especially worried about the state of the eleboración of the General Structural Plan. According to the mayor, "the intention of the government team is to take advantage of the work already done" and announced that they are trying to reach an agreement with the previous drafting team to terminate the contract.

From CEDMA raised the need to solve issues such as the PATRICOVA, the area of ​​affection of Costas and other issues, and the government team moved their intention to involve them in important projects for the development of the city, as well as other associations and social collectives through a Consell d'Urbanisme.

Each of the vice-presidents of the Cercle Empresarial of the Marina Alta, as the person in charge of a specific area, spoke with the councilors about issues that concern him. Thus, Benito Mestre, Urban Planning and Infrastructure delegate, was the one who was interested in the government's intentions regarding the PGE. Isabel Agulles, presented issues related to Tourism and Commerce; Ángel Vives, talked about Regional Development; and Rosario Carrió, on Industry and Services.
