Dénia received on Tuesday morning 13 October, a prestigious visit: the former director general of Unesco and President of the Culture of Peace Foundation, Federico Mayor Zaragoza, who has been in town to deliver a lecture on the strength of the word and the power of education.
Mayor Zaragoza has been invited by Form 15 and IES María Ibars to reflect on the role of education and training and their socioeconomic impact, and she attended numerous people linked to education.
Before giving the conference, Mayor Zaragoza has been received at City Hall by the Councilor for Culture and Deputy Mayor, Rafa CarrioWhich I have invited to sign the book of honor of the city.
The reception was also attended by the president of the Cercle Empresarial de la Marina Alta-CEDMA, Sonja Dietz, the manager of the Creama, Rosario Donderis, the coordinator of University Extension of the Associated Center of the UNED in Dénia, Jaume Tortosa, the director of Corporate Social Responsibility and Innovation of Baleària, Josep Vicent Mascarell, and the director of the IES Maria Ibars, Pepe Toni Server, among others.
