The 'DNA Gastronomic Festival of Dénia' will bring together a cast of chefs with 'Michelin' stars

El Dénia Gastronomic Festival, to be held 30 in September and 1 in October, will bring together a cast of chefs who have "Michelin stars." An event that counts with the cook, Quique Dacosta, as gastronomic commissary and has been organized by the Ajuntament de Dénia and the Valencian Tourist Agency.

Alberto Ferruz (Bon Amb, two Michelin stars), Kiko Moya (L'Escaleta, two Michelin stars) and Ricard Camarena (Ricard Camarena Restaurant, Michelin star and three soles Repsol), will participate in this open meeting among cooks, producers, artisans and gastronomy professionals to discover and taste Mediterranean cuisine.

Practically all the Valencian chefs that the French guide stands out with a star will participate in the contest: Raúl Resino, recognized by his work in front of the RR restaurant in Benicarló; Luis Valls on behalf of the Poblet, with which Quique Dacosta has obtained its fourth Michelin star; Mª José San Román (M, Alicante); Manuel Alonso (Casa Manolo, Daimús); Susi Díaz, (La Finca, Elche); Santiago Prieto (Sents, Ontinyent) and Sole Ballester (Casa Pepa, Ondara), will unveil the keys of their culinary knowledge.

They will also show the good moment that the kitchen lives in the Comunitat Valenciana, Rafa Soler (Audreys, Calpe); Enrique Medina, (Apicius, Valencia); Begoña Rodrigo, La Salita (Valencia); Mª Carmen Vélez (La Sirena, Petrer); Jose Manuel Miguel (Beat, Altea); Nazario Cano (El Rodat, Xàbia) and the master of the pastries Paco Torreblanca.
In addition to the cooks of the Comunitat Valenciana, Joan Roca (El Celler de Can Roca), Ángel León (Aponiente), Andoni Luis Aduriz (Mugaritz) and Jordi Cruz (ABaC) have been confirmed. All of them will cook live, discuss and explain, on the main stage, their particular conception of gastronomy and its commitment to local products and local suppliers.

In addition, the festival will bring together chefs from 17 creative cities of UNESCO Gastronomy who will cook live, share experiences and promote gastronomic knowledge. In addition to the capital of La Marina, which won this recognition at 2015, will be represented at the festival Tucson (United States) Popayán (Colombia), Belem (Brazil), Tsuruoka (Japan), Chengdu (China), Shunde , Macao (China), Florianopolis (Brazil), Parma (Italy), Östersund (Sweden), Bergen (Norway), Rasht (Iran), Zahlé (Lebanon), Gaziantep (Turkey), Jeonju Mexico) and Phuket (Thailand).

Located in a privileged environment, the Marineta Cassiana, DNA will approach the gastronomic universe in all its dimensions: showcooking in a great main stage in which the great chefs will approach the culture, the values ​​and the Mediterranean lifestyle and its influence in the art of the table; a second scenario in which the most traditional flavors will be the protagonists; and a table 400 meters with sea views, stalls, food trucks to taste traditional dishes and avant-garde cuisine but rooted in its territory. All this, enlivened with debates, workshops, live music and playful activities that will form a space to put in value the DNA of Mediterranean gastronomy.

The event is sponsored by companies such as Amstel and Aqualia and with the collaboration of the Association of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs of the Marina Alta (AEHTMA).
