The ICU of Hospital de Dénia has joined the C19_SPACE program. An initiative of the European Union and the European Society for Intensive Care -ESCIM- that aims to provide online theoretical training for non-intensivist nursing personnel.
The program offers nursing professionals from other areas the basic knowledge for the recognition and therapeutic management of critically ill patients. The training will also be reinforced with tutored practical sessions that will be taught at the ICU of the Hospital de Dénia.
It is an initiative of the Directorate of Care and Services of the Department of Health of Dénia -DSD- that is committed to training as an instrument to add value to the Organization.
Likewise, in this training line, clinical sessions have been programmed for the basic management of mechanical ventilators in the ICU, aimed at the Nursing professionals of the Surgical Block.
These activities aim to improve patient safety and the quality of health care in the Marina Alta. As well as promoting the "teaching-learning" training procedures among the professionals of the Dénia Health Department.
