The Dénia cemetery once again hosts the tribute to the executed republicans of the Marina Alta

In the traditional event that takes place on the first Sunday of November, the Socialists of the Marina Alta They commemorated once again the republicans shot in the region from the Dénia cemetery. The event was attended by prominent members of the PSPV-PSOE, who expressed their commitment to historical memory and the preservation of democratic values.

The general secretary of the PSPV-PSOE of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, led the tribute and emphasized the importance of remembering the past to avoid repeating mistakes. "We carry out this tribute every year with the desire to learn from the past, to keep the memory alive in honor of those who gave their lives for our freedom and as a reminder of a tragic history that we do not wish to relive," Grimalt highlighted in his speech.

The event concluded with the emotional reading of the names of those shot in the region in the autumn of 1939, followed by the placing of carnations in the place where the remains of those honored rest.
