The City of Dénia agrees to abolish the compensation of all councilors for attendance at extraordinary plenary sessions

25 July 2012 - 09: 46

The Government team of Dénia has agreed to abolish, indefinitely, the compensation received by the councilors for attendance at the extraordinary sessions that may be held by the Municipal Plenary. Thanks to this measure, the City of Dénia will save 3.665 euros per session.

This measure, framed within the policies to contain public spending promoted by the Dénia City Council, affects the 17 councilors without exclusive dedication, since those released do not receive compensation. However, the mayor, the released councilors, as well as the eventual staff assigned to the Mayor's Office and political groups will no longer receive the extraordinary pay of Christmas.
