Members of the National Police Force have arrested a man of 53 years with a passport of German nationality accused of committing the murder of his wife in the Port of Dénia.
The death took place in the town of Sylt last Friday and the German authorities issued a European arrest warrant and surrender. The detainee had a restraining order for ill-treatment.
Yesterday afternoon the police received information from Interpol Sirene of murder committed on German soil before two days. The alleged perpetrator was a possibility that had moved to Spain. He proceeded to mount a monitoring device to discover that the man could travel from Palma de Mallorca to Denia on board a ferry.
On landing in Dénia he proceeded to arrest and at that time resisted so they had to reduce it for subsequent transfer to the police.
