The Marina Alta region continues to register few infections, according to data provided by the Ministry of Health, which is far from the possible fourth wave, although there has been an increase in new positives in Dénia.
On this occasion, the new positives registered in the last three days is 14, which brings the total number of infections in the region, since the beginning of the pandemic, to 9.806, of which 45 are still active. In this way, the cumulative incidence continues to decline and remains at the low risk limit with 26,20 cases per 100.000 inhabitants. It must be taken into account that the incidence has dropped 6 points since last Tuesday when it stood at 32,20 cases per one hundred thousand inhabitants.
Another piece of good news from today's update is that no new deaths have been recorded, bringing the number of people who have lost their lives to the virus at 199.
With regard to the situation in the town of Dénia, the capital of the region has seen an increase in the number of new infections compared to Tuesday's day. Today's Public Health report indicates 8 positives, in three days, compared to a single case that was registered last Tuesday, which brings the total number of infections since the start of the pandemic to 3.059.
Dénia currently has 12 active cases, so the cumulative incidence stands at 28,46 cases per 100.000 inhabitants, somewhat higher than the average incidence set by the Government as low risk, which is 25 cases per 100.000 inhabitants. .
