Dénia wants to promote the cultural sector and shopping in the city in 2018

Dénia wants to reinforce synergies between these cultural and shopping sectors and the rest of tourism products in the city. To that end, the Tourism Promotion and Management Plan of Dénia for the 2018 year It includes an important novelty: the creation and celebration of the "Cultural Product and Procurement Product" Roundtable.

In this way, he will join the reflections on Dénia as a "Vacation" product, "Nature and Active Tourism", "Gastronomy" and "Ports and Cruises". These are the working tables in which various political positions of the City Council of Dénia, technicians from the Department of Tourism, business associations (Aehtma, Cedma, Association of Merchants and Association of Ports of Sport) and entrepreneurs of the private sector.

During the celebration of the work tables, 13 days. 14 and 15 of December, the promotion has been agreed in the traditional markets such as Madrid, Valencian Community, Basque Country and Catalonia (national) and France, United Kingdom, Germany and Nordic Countries (international) and already classic events such as participation in fairs as Fitur y Madrid Fusion. It has also materialized the organization of events such as the international competition of creative cuisine of the red shrimp Dénia, the Forum Arròs a banda & a banda de l'arròs and the Week of Active Tourism, which have already contemplated date and place.

As a novelty, the promotional calendar will be completed with actions in Creative Cities of Gastronomy by UNESCO such as Parma (Italy), Bergen (Norway) and Östersund (Sweden).

It is foreseen that the action plan of the 2018 year will be formally approved during the first quarter of the 2018 year in the General Assembly of the Tourism Council.
