Dénia extends the plan to streamline the Urban Planning department started in 2020

The Plan de Millora of the Department of Urbanism of Dénia will be extended for another year, as confirmed by the Consell d'Urbanisme in its first meeting of the mandate. This means maintaining the reinforcement of personnel for the area with five professionals: two architects, two surveyors and a TAG. The Councilor for Territory of the Dénia City Council, Mr. Josep Ripoll, offered these statements during the balance of the results of the improvement plan started three years ago.

The results achieved, "despite the periodic changes in the workforce that require a few months of training," are very positive, said Ripoll. Between 2021 and 2023, 1.415 major works files have been processed and 367 have been resolved. Of these, 214 files have finally been granted. Regarding customer service figures, 1.929 in-person and 4.589 telephone appointments have been made with the department's technical staff.

The Consell d'Urbanisme highlights that in the first six months of operation of this shock plan to reinforce and streamline the services of the Urban Planning Department, pending license applications were already reduced by less than half.

Administrative streamlining measures

The operation of the Urban Planning department has also been streamlined thanks to the implementation of measures such as the prior report procedure, required by the Construction Ordinance for major works, which came into force on July 10, 2021. In Within a period of one month after the presentation of all the documentation, the license applicant receives a prior report with an explanation of the basic frame of reference with the aim of avoiding what was very common and that is that up to 75% of the requests licenses had to be corrected.

Among the news announced yesterday, the councilor highlighted that this previous report will also include ex officio information on the sewage point to which each construction must be connected, "saving the interested person from having to go through Aqualia."

On the other hand, also in line with streamlining certain procedures, "to facilitate the implementation of solar panels we will create a specific form, so that the applicant will know all the documentation they must provide."

As a guide to help license applicants, Ripoll recalled that the interpretation criteria of the Construction Ordinance are published on the municipal website, "which we are going to expand with the interpretation criteria of the General Structural Plan." In this sense, the councilor also proposed the organization of a specific day with professionals to explain in detail the application criteria of the new planning document.

Likewise, a second monographic meeting will be convened focused on the new Ordinance regulating the registry of exploitation reserves, in the public exhibition phase. This is an ordinance to regulate how to manage the use reserves recognized by the city council, "through the creation of a public and transparent registry", in which individuals will register their use units to present them to the town hall and be able to consume them when They want to materialize more buildability in urban projects or to be able to sell them among individuals.

«The purpose, with all these actions, is to facilitate the work of professionals in the construction sector so that, effectively, the processing of licenses is more agile. And resolve all those doubts you may have. Working in collaboration, which is what gives the best results and yesterday's meeting of the Consell d'Urbanisme was a good example," Ripoll insisted.

Detailed Management Plans

Regarding the General Structural Plan, definitively approved by the Territorial Urban Planning Commission last May, the Territorial Councilor informed the Consell d'Urbanisme that after the presentations to the public of the detailed plans of La Xara and Jesús Pobre, only received five allegations, four from Jesús Pobre and one from La Xara.

Regarding the term of Dénia, the contracting of the drafting of the Detailed Planning Plan will be done by zones: Les Rotes, sector C1 (IES Sorts de la Mar area), the Montgo, urban center, industrial estate, Marines, the Deveses, and the disseminated.
