After the interest generated by organic farming in recent years, and seeing this interest as a possible boost and diversification of the local economy, the council of agriculture of the City of Dénia has been working on several projects to be developed in the medium term with the objective of strengthening this sector and generating new employment routes in the city.
The first fact refers to the creation of Land Banks, a proposal of the Circle Podem in Dénia that has been very well received by the City Council. At Consell Agrari The project draft will be approved, which will put unused landowners in contact with people interested in working with them. In this way, in addition to creating jobs and a local market, lands and landscapes will be recovered.
The area councilor, Josep Crespo, explained that this initiative also joins the project of Creative City of Gastronomy with the recovery of traditional crops, promoting organic farming and healthy habits.
The second action will take place is a theoretical and practical course of organic farming will begin in April and will be held on Saturdays in the morning in the Bosc de Diana. He explained the technical department, Mariví Pastor, each enrolled will have an orchard to implement what they have learned and apply the concepts and techniques of cultivation.
Places are limited to 30 and from today you can formalize the registration, submitting a request to check the Ajuntament de Dénia. Changes in fair EcoDénia October
