Dénia will be present at gastronomic events around the world through 'Saborea España'

Milan, Paris, London, Madrid ... thanks to Dénia's admission to the national gastronomic tourism platform Taste Spain, The city and its gastronomy will be present in the most important gastronomic events of the world.

This was explained by the representatives of this gastronomic platform that brings together 19 Spanish cities and that these days are in Dénia to transmit their experience to the tourist business sector of the city.

The platform goes to a multitude of gastronomic events and under its umbrella, all the cities that are part of it. Now, Denia, too.

As explained by the technical director of the Spanish Association of destinations for the promotion of gastronomic tourism, Isabel Mateo, at the national level stands out the attendance at fairs and gastronomic events as Madrid Fusion or cooking show Scheduled for June in the gourmet leisure center Platea de Madrid.

At the international level, Taste Spain Will be present at the Universal Exhibition in Milan and in promotional events in London, Paris and Germany. Also, the platform is working on the development of a network of Spanish restaurants in the world and in the preparation of a flavor map of Spain.

During the meeting with local entrepreneurs, the members of Taste Spain Offered different points of view on the benefits that the work developed in the platform contributes to their cities.

The councilor of Tourism of Cambrils and member of the executive committee of Taste Spain, Xavier Martí, compared his city with Dénia when looking for the two municipalities to deseasonalise tourism, for which, Martí said, "the gastronomic product can contribute".

Claudia de Santos, councilor of Tourism of Segovia and representative of this city in the platform, focused his intervention on the importance of the philosophy of the project, focused on teamwork to generate an idea of ​​destination. And is that in Taste Spain (FEHR), the Spanish Association of destinations for the promotion of gastronomic tourism, the European Organization of cooks (Euro-Toques), the Federation of Associations of cooks and bakers of Spain (FACYRE) and Paradores of Tourism.

The tourism business sector of the city was very satisfied with this initiative. According to the president of Aehtma, Cristina Sellés, "It will help us to be better positioned, to be more competitive and to be more committed to quality".
