Dénia meets the expectations of occupation in the first half of July

With 75% average occupancy in hotels, the city of Denia has fulfilled the expectations set by the tourism department for the first half of July. According to sampling by this area, several hotels have come to reach 94% occupancy.

As for tourist rentals, the average stood at around 70%, although some of the tourist rental companies has reached 100% occupancy. On campsites figure is lower, hovering around 40%, although a company has reached 75%.

If we compare this data with the data from last year, we observe that it coincides in the case of hotel establishments and tourist rental accommodation and is higher in the forecast in campsites is higher than the occupation that was last year (around the 40%) and it coincides with that registered in tourist rental accommodations.

The second half of July arrives with a forecast 75-80% in hotels, 50-55% of the campsites in and close to 77% in tourist rental accommodation.

The information point of the Esplanade Cervantes is consolidated

During these weeks 15.200 has been attended by people in the three points of tourist attention. Most of them (an 41%) requested information at the headquarters of Manuel Lattur Street; the 30% did it in the office of the Plaza del Consell and 29% did it in the information point of the Esplanade Cervantes, which is consolidated by its strategic position as essential for tourists.

By nationality, the 55% of applicants were Spanish and foreign 45%. National, the 42% came from Madrid, followed by visitors from Valencia and, thirdly local residents, who have come especially to the point of Cervantes Esplanade in order to inform the program of events of the lie Festa Major. Rounding out the list of tourists influx of Castilla León (one 5,5% of the total) and the Basque Country (one 5%). National origins follow the trends of recent years, coinciding with the last year in order and percentages.

Of total international visitors, almost 46% of the total came from France, followed by 20% of the UK and Germany 15%. They are followed by Eastern Europe (6%), Belgium and the Netherlands.
