Tuesday was held in Madrid the general assembly of the Association of dining destinations for the Promotion of Gastronomic Tourism, one of the main promoters of the initiative Taste Spain. It was attended by representatives of the member cities: A Coruña, Badajoz, Cambrils, Ciudad Real, Dénia, Lanzarote, Logroño, Madrid, Pamplona, Salamanca, Sant Carles de la Rapita, Segovia, Sevilla, Tenerife, Valencia, Valladolid, vinaròs and Zaragoza.
Vicent Grimalt, Mayor of Dénia and Councilor for Tourism, attended this meeting in which a review of the 2016 exercise was made and a review of the various actions carried out during the year. The work plan of the association for 2017 was then discussed, which includes, among other matters, the improvement of communication tools, the reinforcement of promotion actions, the consolidation of the Saborea Spain brand in the different destinations and the development of the strategic axis dedicated to gastronomic tourism and sustainability.
Other points discussed during the meeting were 2017 budget and major projects within the project to address Saborea Spain, among which the celebration of Tapa World Day , National and international, and the presence in Congress Madrid Fusion.
It is recalled that all the partners Savor Spain work has enabled the development of a product platform with a common goal: enhancing the role of gastronomy as a tourist attraction and public-private partnerships, transforming food products in unique travel experiences and specialized.
