10 October 2023 - 16: 30

The Deputy Mayor of Dénia, Rafa Carrió, and the councilors of Territory, Maria Josep Ripoll, and the Treasury, Paco Roselló, have presented today, October 10, at a press conference several topics of the Plan Plan 2023-2024: Infrastructure investment and financing plan, which will be approved in the extraordinary plenary session that will take place on October 16.

María Josep Ripoll has explained that the Dénia City Council is going to present itself to the Call of the Provincial Council of Alicante for the Provincial Plan for Cooperation in Works and Services of Municipal Competence for 2024-2027, which is a four-year investment plan in which Dénia is allocated 1.801.083,64 euros (VAT included). The plan will be 55% subsidized by the Alicante Provincial Council, and the rest would be a municipal contribution, and the action plan will be presented at the extraordinary plenary session on October 16, according to Ripoll, so that it can subsequently be approved by the Provincial Council.

The plan consists of two projects, on the one hand, the redevelopment of several streets in the historic neighborhood of Les Roques will be presented, such as San Pascual Street, and a part of San Sebastián Street, with a budget of 596.036,13, 1.146.475,68 euros (VAT included), and on the other hand, the redevelopment of Elx street and adjacent streets, with a budget of XNUMX euros (VAT included).

Create unique and greener platforms

As Ripoll explained at the press conference, the objective of these two projects is to improve these two areas, with the renewal of infrastructure and stop the degradation that these two areas of Dénia endure. The projects include the installation of a single platform, eliminating unevenness, architectural barriers, and only essential parking spaces, as well as renovation and replacement of the pavement, implementing a new sewer network and rainwater collection area, installation of a new network of electricity, drinking water, telephone and gas, as well as new public lighting. Likewise, we will try to incorporate green areas as far as possible.

Finally, with regard to the Elx Street area, the children's playground will also be renovated. Work on these two projects will begin, after the projects are tendered, at the earliest in 2025.

I think it's great that you invite us to the urban center,
But those of us who live on the Las Marinas highway kilometer 11 also have rights
We pay our taxes just like everyone else and you have forgotten it
