Denia Gata on foot, the best way to meet the agricultural landscape around us

22 2015 April - 09: 01

An eight kilometer walk that allows us to be in contact with our landscape, our agricultural reality and our environment. This is the route that joins Dénia and Gata de Gorgos through the Montgo and passing through Jesús Pobre, a path that unites us even more to our natural environment.

Dénia trip to Gata de Gorgos

So participants could see twenty of the last activity Family Excursions, who made this itinerary walking from the Church of La Pedrera. From that starting point they headed along the Camí Penya de l'Àguila until they reached the Raco del Bou, at the end of the Camí de la Colònia. From there, a newly opened path ascends to Coll de Serrallo and then descends to Jesús Pobre along the so-called repeater track. The Montgó gives way to a little-known agricultural landscape with various rural buildings: rafts, wells, corrals, etc.

And as a reward for the efforts made during the tour, participants enjoyed the Mercat of riurau of Jesus Pobre, where they tasted native and soil products. The tour ended at the train station in Gata de Gorgos, where they took the train to return to Dénia.
