Coinciding with the celebration, next Sunday 26 of June, of the Charity Day, the solidarity entity has announced both the balance of 2010 and the motto of the campaign for that day: "The important things are done with heart". And it is that Caritas is committed to a change of values towards a more fair and supportive lifestyle, paying special attention to the commitment of its volunteers in this European Year of Volunteering.
As for the balance of last year, they have announced that the Caritas network of Dénia, consisting of three interparochial Caritas and their reception services and projects have served a total of 997 people, the 63% of whom were foreigners and 67% women. It highlights the percentage of people who came first to request aid, which has been the 71%.
In total Cáritas Interparroquial Dénia has invested a total of 29.039 euros for the new Interparroquial Commissary and the attention to basic needs. All this has been possible thanks to the 33.585 euros received from the collections as well as contributions from collaborators and donations.
