City Hall and institutes ask the Department to continue hosting Dénia entrance exams

The Department of Education, directed by Miquel Soler, has announced that this year, after two decades, the entrance exams to the university (PAU) is made only in university facilities. This measure is justified, according to Soler, to prevent students from schools that were previously sub-venues of the exams, lost class.

This is the case of the IES Historian Chabàs in Dénia, headquarters of court No. 1 of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, in which an average of 800 students of the 2nd year of Baccalaureate are examined each year from all the secondary schools of the Marina Alta. Now, by this decree, those 800 students should travel to the UMH campus in Elche or Sant Joan.

That is why both directors of IES Denia as the Councilor for Education, Rafa Carrió, They have held a meeting to seek an alternative solution to this situation. The condition puts the Department is that during testing days, not altered the routine of other students. Carrio is very optimistic about this situation and states that a solution passing the exams will be in the Municipal House of Culture or in municipal buildings.

From the Conselleria the proposals of the town halls will be analyzed and those that meet the necessary requirements to house these tests will be accepted. This year's tests will be carried out on 6, 7 and 8 days in June.
