Three whales sighted off the coast of Dénia

Three minke whales common were sighted yesterday off the coast of Dénia, and exceptional witnesses of the sighting were participants in the program of marine environmental volunteer and fishing carried out by the Marine Environmental Service and Fisheries (SAMIP) Town Hall of Dénia.

The sighting occurred when they were sailing off the area of ​​the Trampolí, and in the waters of the Marine Reserve, where they could see two copies to be moved to where a third copy of fin whales was.

For about an hour the volunteers accompanying the whales sailed aboard the boat manned by staff SAMIP.

The fin whale is the second largest whale in the world, which can reach up to 24 meters long, and sightings are fairly common off our coasts between May and September.
