After years of claiming it, it will finally be a reality. He Center d'Art L'Estacio de Dénia will have this year a lift elevator that will allow access to the first floor of the building, where the Toy Museum. This week, the City of Dénia has put out to tender the supply and installation of an elevator lift in the building, which will complete the accessibility to it in the current egg of the staircase.
Interested companies have until the January 23 to present their proposals. After the study and the award of the project, they will have a period of three months to execute the work, so it is estimated that this summer the building will have this important infrastructure. The project is bidding for 45.375 euros.
The Museu del Joguet de Dénia is a compendium of the history of the toy industry of Dénia. More than forty toy factories registered in the city, a dense network of small family workshops and a range of complementary industries that worked raw materials, formed in Dénia a map in which the toy was the engine of a good part of the city in the first half of S.XX.
The museum is divided into two rooms: the thematic exhibition, which houses an extensive collection of factories Sauquillo and Ferchen, and the exposure of the years 1904-1960, where you can see interesting pieces of wood of the years 50 and a collection of pedal cars that are the jewel of the museum.
