Aqualia promotes investment in diversity as a drive for progress for the entire society

One more year, Aqualia and Sports Center join the initiative of the United Nations on International Women's Day, highlighting how the advancement of women has a positive impact on all of society. On this occasion, the company joins the Equality department of the Poblets and Dénia City Council to further strengthen the drive at the local level.

In line with the call of the United Nations, which urges investing in diversity and equality to achieve widespread positive impact, Aqualia reaffirms its commitment. The international organization highlights the vital importance of gender equality in a world facing various crises, stressing that it is essential for sustainable development.

With the conviction that shared action generates common well-being, Aqualia celebrates International Women's Day by thanking the community for its collaboration. Beyond its commitment to water management, the company promotes collective participation to promote gender equality, aspiring to build a more humane, equitable and sustainable society.

In order to accelerate the achievement of equal rights, raise awareness and raise awareness, Aqualia deploys a series of actions in the territories where it operates, under the motto of "Diversity, the greatest asset". The company supports this cause by recognizing the global positive impact of investing in an asset such as diversity.

Collaborating entity in Dénia

With the aim of giving visibility to the cause, Aqualia and the Dénia City Council have joined forces to carry out different sports activities in collaboration with the Centro Deportivo Dénia, open to all those who wish to participate.

The first, scheduled for tomorrow Thursday March 7, consists of a walk along the greenway of Dénia. For this reason, Aqualia encourages all interested parties to join the initiative, with a meeting point at 9:30 at the sports center or at 9:45 at the entrance of the greenway.

At the end of the activity in the vicinity of the Dénia sports center, fruit will be distributed among the participants thanks to the collaboration of the La GOLETA fruit store.

Furthermore, the Friday, March 8, they propose a kind of Aqua-Dance in the pools of the facilities managed by Aqualia. This session will be free and open to all Dénia citizens who wish to participate, concluding in a relaxing way with access to the SPA for all attendees.

Susana Campos, director of the Dénia Sports Center, highlights the importance of promoting equality between men and women in all areas of life and in sport. Although she recognizes the progress made, Campos emphasizes that there is still a lot of work ahead.

Activities in Els Poblets

In order to highlight the cause, Aqualia and the Poblets town council have joined forces to organize a sports activity Open to all those interested in participating. In this sense, the Equality Councilor, Natalia Carrió, urges the participation of all the town's associations, such as Pensionistas and Les Dones, to contribute and enhance diversity.

The activity will take place on March 8 at 12:00 in C/Riu, near the Andreu cafeteria, with a duration of approximately 1 hour. The organization recommends that participants arrive 15 minutes early to pick up the commemorative t-shirt that will be given to those attending the event.

In parallel, Aqualia launches its annual campaign through the web www.aqualiaigualdad.com the motto "Invest in diversity, the greatest asset to accelerate progress." The company responds to the call of the UN, inviting people to share on the web images symbolizing multiplication (forming the X symbol with the body) with the hashtag #AqualiaEquality in social networks.

For each photo shared, Aqualia will multiply its value, thus reinforcing its collaboration with the "Women's Employment" program from the Adecco Foundation. This program promotes the employment of women at risk of social exclusion, being part of Aqualia's committed actions in favor of diversity and equality.

Furthermore, Aqualia participates in the #EmploymentForAll report of the Adecco Foundation, contributing to its eleventh edition and reaffirming its determined commitment to diversity and equality. The company has held the Equality in the Company Distinction since 2010 and, since 2020, it is member of the Global Compact, assuming its responsibility in defending the identity, dignity and equality of people.

Aqualia, certified by AENOR in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, continues to lead initiatives that promote diversity and equality in its business culture, demonstrating that water can be an engine of change for a more just and equal society, the main challenge of the United Nations SDGs.
